Species
The park is about 130 kilometres (81 mi) west of Iringa.
Ruaha is a very impressive park with an abundance of wildlife. In addition, due to the parks somewhat remote location, it is not on the main tourist circuit, and so visitors can enjoy viewing the wildlife without competing with hordes of other tourists.
Situated in the heart of Tanzania, classified under the southern circuit, Ruaha rewards those who come into the park with a wild landscape and good to excellent game viewing experience, but in complete solitude.
